Description
My guys for
I'm usually good at avoiding text walls...but...as you can see I didn't do a good job of it here. I apologize.
Character Information
Name: Tullius (TUH-lee-us) Howie Brandwire
Alias/Nickname: Tully (TUH-lee)
Age: 15 years (human time)
Gender: Male
Species: Sundog
What was stolen: nothing of his
Abilities:
- no abilities of his own
Physical Strengths:
- muscular and strong
- steady on his feet
Physical Weaknesses:
- has a chronic cough that occasionally inhibits his breathing
- poor eyesight
Height/Weight:
-4 ft at tip of ears
- 250 pounds
Personality:
- usually good-natured and kind, but like anyone else he will get angry if provoked.
- has a quirky sense of humor.
- usually won’t start a fight. He’d rather defend than attack. - he feels indebted to Mae and therefore thinks of himself as her shield.
- his cough seems to worsen when he is away from Mae
- not very bright; feels smarter when Mae talks through him
- gets nervous when Mae doesn't give him something to do
History:
Tully grew up in a normal town with normal parents and lots of brothers and sisters. He didn’t get a lot of love from his parents and usually wandered around on his own. Eventually Tully got sick of his family and left the town as a traveler. During one of his trips, Tully was bitten by a venomous animal and had to drag himself to the nearest town. Mae found him dragging himself pitifully, so she used her words to soothe him and get him medical attention. Since then Tully has followed Mae around. He supports her in her cause to regain her voice, although he knows they’ve grown closer since it was stolen.
Likes: Mae, sunlight, a warm breeze, the smell of rain
Dislikes: objects with rough textures, loud, abrupt noises, being separated from Mae
Others: Likes telling people stories of all the interesting places he’s been. Sometimes he stretches the truth, but only in good humor.
Name: Maelle (Mah-YELL)
Alias/Nickname: Mae (May)
Age: 10 years (human time)
Gender: Female
Species: Heret
What was stolen: her voice
Abilities:
The ability to speak through others: this does not work on people who are actively trying to keep her out of their head (they have to either be unaware or aware and accepting). Her eyes and the eyes of the person she is speaking to glow dully when she is actively talking. The voice of the person she speaks through is maintained (so Tully still sounds like Tully when she speakes through him).
Special Power Words:
- Push: Sends an invisible wave which at minimum knocks an opponent over, and when most effective sends them flying a few feet. Tully must be facing the general direction of the target for it to be effective. If he gets distracted or is unfocused the word will have little effect. Is more effective at a closer distance.
- Pull: This word draws the enemy in closer to Tully, and is usually followed up by a "push" to send them flying. Tully must be facing the general direction of the target for it to be effective. If he gets distracted or is unfocused the word will have little effect. The word can reach a foe up to about 20 ft away.
IMPORTANT: The words do not have to be said as "push" and "pull". The powers can correspond with any word, such as in the first page of my audition when Mae shout's Tully's name and he goes flying.
Physical Strengths:
- none really…
Physical Weaknesses:
- frail and weak due to fragile bone structure
- her tail is rather heavy compared to the rest of her body mass, so she moves slowly
- thin legs cause her to be off-balanced and easily knocked over
Height/Weight:
- 2 ft at tip of ears
- 60 pounds
Personality:
- generally accepting, of people she thinks are "normal"
- tries to avoid depending on other people when possible
- appears reserved and solemn around everyone except Tully
- affectionate towards Tully, but doesn’t always let others see this
- determined to regain her voice
History:
Mae was raised by a group of children, who loved her and treated her like family. Those who didn’t grow up with her kept their distance; they thought her powers were strange. One day Mae just got up and left her old life behind. She is still searching for her motivation behind doing so. While she was off trying to find a place to belong, she found the injured Tully. After helping him, he doted on her, and she stayed with him ever since. They traveled the world together until the day Mae had her voice stolen.
Likes: Tully, warm stuff, having company, shades of blue
Dislikes: Silence, stubborn/loud people, sour things
Others: Sometimes she accidentally shouts at someone through Tully; it has become a reflex of hers to use him to do her talking for her.
Behavior as a Team:
As a pair, they hide the fact that Mae is the fighter. They play up the “brave masculine dude” and “scared, innocent female” roles. This is mostly because Tully is afraid of losing Mae, and would rather be the one being targeted.
Well...that's all folks. I'm not sure how well I did with balancing this pair but I tried.
Please don't hesitate to ask any questions! :'D
